About
Emily W. Miner
At a young age, Emily discovered her love for stories that could capture the imagination. Raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Emily could often be found with her nose in a book. In addition to the hours spent reading, she grew up loving photography, astronomy, putting on plays, writing stories, making movies, camping, and exploring the outdoors with her family.
At the age of 3, Emily began studying the violin and continued through college. She performed in many orchestras and chamber groups throughout her education. She especially enjoyed her music, English, and French classes. After high school, she attended Utah State University where she received her Bachelors of Music degree in Violin Performance.
In the middle of her college career, Emily spent a year and a half serving a mission for her church in Italy where she learned to speak Italian and to love the Italian people.
Emily now resides in Utah with her husband and four children. She loves spending time with her family. Her energetic and inquisitive children often inspire her writing and remind her of the magic of childhood.
